Dr. Elliott Rosengarten is an optometrist who has practiced optometry in Louisville for 25 years.
He grew up in the Washington, D.C. suburbs of Bowie, Maryland. He graduated in the top 5% of his class from Bowie High School in 1973. He was in the National Honor Society and played varsity tennis for three years. He attended and graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park in 1977, earning a B.S degree in Zoology. Dr. Rosengarten then attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham's School of Optometry and received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1981.
Dr. Rosengarten has been a member of the Board of Trustees and is a past president of Congregation Adath Jeshurun. He has been a youth group advisor and has helped coach youth soccer, baseball and basketball. He is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, Kentucky Optometric Association, Louisville Optometric Association, Kentucky Optometric Foundation, and a charter member of the International Association of Online Optometrists. He has formerly served as the president of the Kentucky Optometric Association.
